Prior to becoming a freelance translator, initially I worked in the field of neurological research and thereafter in the business world. I obtained my Master’s degree in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics and began my career as a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery at UCL, London. After spending the first few years of my career in the areas of scientific and medical research, I began a successful career as a Business Analyst and Project Manager. For a period of nearly twenty years I worked for many corporate clients in various industries, including aerospace, automotive finance, insurance, utilities, and education.
After having decided to leave the corporate world, and after having lived and worked between France and the UK for the past fifteen years, I decided to become a freelance French to English Translator.
In order to prepare me for my new career, I undertook translation courses at City University, London.
I have been working as a translator for several years now and have performed numerous translations for many satisfied customers. I have provided translations in many different areas including business, production company work, scientific, medical, technical, academic, the tourist industry and for individuals.
I enjoy discovering new areas through the translations I perform and am often fascinated by the content of the text. I have a keen interest in each translation and provide a personalised service from the start to the end of the translation process.
I am always available to contact both throughout and following the process regarding a translation and enjoy the relationships which I have built up with my previous customers. I enjoy helping them achieve their objectives and ensure that the translations that I provide enable them to effectively communicate with their target audience in the way in which they desire.
